I am terribly sorry for the long gap between posts! Since the last post, I have bought a gown and have made as many plans as necessary up until this point. With the wedding being eight and a half months away, the time is drawing nearer and there are many more plans to be made.
The combination of jobs, school, and preparing a new life together will have both Will and I very busy for the upcoming months. However, we are very excited to embark on this incredible journey together and ask that you keep us both in your prayers. I will be flying to Roanoke, VA in June to attend Will's sister Eleanor's wedding and we will be able to spend a week of quality time together. Our time apart will be difficult over the next 8 months, but I know that God has us in His hands and will be guiding us to make the right decisions in everything we do. Thank you very much for your prayers and support.

Weather Worries
I'm sure many of you have heard of the outrageous weathere here in Spokane for the past week or so. Now I know what you could be thinking, "What if the weather doesn't cooperate next year and people can't get to the wedding? Will I have to venture out in a foot of snow?" First of all, let me give you at least a bit of comfort: This is not typical weather for us. Normally when it snows it may be a little at a time that might accumulate over a couple of weeks but the roads stay clear and it does not cause much havoc. Sometimes it may snow one day then slowly or even quickly melt within the next few days. Chances are, the weather will not be anything like what we had last week. Please just pray that God will provide us with tolerable weather and that with all the things to be thinking about, the weather will not be one of them. God Bless!!

I tried on wedding gowns on Saturday, it was quite fun! I've decided on a specific style of dress and can't wait until it's time to buy!

Please keep us in your prayers...
Thank you for visiting our website! Please keep us in your prayers during the upcoming months as we are preparing to venture into a whole new life together. There is so much that goes into the planning of a wedding and things may get very stressful at times. Please pray that we will not get wrapped up so far in the planning process that we forget to prepare mentally, emotionally, and spiritually for the new phase in both of our lives. Thank you very much for your prayers and support!

When and Where
We will be getting married on January 3, 2009 at Central Baptist Church in Spokane, Washington. We are not completely certain of the exact time yet, but will keep you posted. Directions and a map to the church will be provided as the time gets nearer.
We will be moving to Roanoke, Virginia after the wedding and there will be a reception in Roanoke for those who live on the east coast. Date, time, and location will be announced later.

We're Engaged!
Will came to Spokane to visit me from December 27, 2007 to January 8, 2008. During the visit he was able to meet my family and friends and we were able to spend some quality time together. We decided to go on a date on January 5th, one which Will had pretty much planned out himself based off of what I had been wanting to do with him ever since he came to Spokane. We went for a lovely ride in the gondolas over the Spokane Falls, then we walked through Riverfront Park and went ice skating! It was quite a blast and despite the fact that it was Will's first time, he didn't fall once! After ice skating, we made our way through downtown and ended up at Rocky Rococo's restaurant. It was a yummy pizzaria. Next we went on a walk through the park and went to a very lovely, romantic spot. It was a penninsula with the river flowing on either side with a beautiful view of Riverfront Park and downtown. Shortly after reaching our romantic spot, Will started getting extra-mushy and he finally said, "I have something for you," while reaching into his pocket. He then pulled out a ring box and opened it while getting down on one knee and asked me to marry him! Of course I said yes and we became officially engaged!
Our next step was to make a few phone calls to the people living on the east coast before they went to sleep, then we warmed ourselves with mochas and hot chocolate in front of a fire at a lovely coffee house.
It was without a doubt the most perfect engagement I could have ever imagined! Both Will and I are very excited to begin the next phase of our lives and can't wait until that special day when we say our vows in front of God and our loved ones. Please join us in this special occassion! The big day is January 3, 2009 in Spokane, Washington. All the details will be on this site so please feel free to navigate through the pages. If there is any information you would like to know that is not on this site, please leave a comment at the bottom of this blog or email me at ireniebeanie18@yahoo.com.
